One of the best laps of Bathurst ever.

Yesterday was Doug Chivas in 1973 pushing the XU1 up pitlane when it was out of fuel. That made my old man cry, shattering experience. Cost Brock another Bathurst win, one of about 6 or 7 that he was unlucky not to win.
Today's one has a very dodgy title "When Dick went the distance"... Apparently it's the Johnson/Bowe Bathurst 1989 win.

Bill Brown's monumental rollover in 1971 was today's memorable moment.

I've been watching the Tander vs Lowndes video from last year and even if you're a Ford nut you'd have to rank it as one of the best finishes ever.
I still can't comprehend how he held on and it wasn't for the last half of a lap. Lowndes was pounding his bumper for a good 3-4 laps. People can say what they like about Lowndes and Whincup, but Tander is just as good if not better on his day.
Most drivers would've crapped themselves with that sort of pressure and Tander never blinked once.
As a HRT fan it's bitter/sweet. It's a **** feeling knowing this was HRT's last win yet I think it's one of their best ever and it was their 200th.

One of the best races ever held at the mountain. Pity about the results.

Great race, but wasn't the result I was after.
