Would love for Stoner to get a win in his last full time race at PI, But from what he said on the news tonight, It sounds like the ankle is getting worse not better, Hope he can overcome it though.

All I hope for is a title for Lorenzo and Stoner to hopefully help him at doing it by winning! But I need to hope that Dani struggles.

Looking like Stoner is going to be the man to beat after absolutely dominating both practice sessions...I wonder if Honda will issue team orders for Stoner to move over for Pedrosa if Pedrosa is running a safe second behind Stoner or whether they will allow Stoner to have his final moment in the sun given all he has done for Honda

Interesting question with team orders there Bundy, It would be a big call by Honda to make in front of the Aussie crowd ect, Hope they let it go and Stoner is allowed to win. Huge effort by Stoner today after having fallen from the bike, To then get on the spare and grab pole was huge, Moto GP is going to miss him next year. www.speedcafe.com/2012/10/27/casey-stoner-takes-pole-despite-qualifying-crash/

Spewing I missed the race... ****ing recorder failed That's 6 in a row wins for Stoner at PI...awesome effort Well done to Lorenzo for clinching the title...not sure what happened to Pedrosa but it seems he DNFed. And great to see Ant West get a 2nd in moto2 and Sissi a 3rd in moto3...that's two podiums within a week for Westy.

Pedrosa was pushing at his max, It was good to see him put everything on the line, But ultimately he just pushed a bit to much and lost the front end on a slow corner. Great job to Stoner he is a cut above on this track, Also well done to Lorenzo for winning the C/ship, Top job.

It was like the other races this year, the final result was how they stood for more than 95% of the race.

I'm back from the Island! Record crowd there! Awesome turnout for Stoner! First of all Jorge Lorenzo is CHAMPION!!!! - Great job! Great job by Stoner, managed to.....Buy some Honda gear! - yep and got Stoner to sign it and a flag! Got to get Lorenzo and Rossi to sign some Yamaha and #46 gear and that was cool to have a little chat with Lorenzo - told him I'm a MASSIVE fan of his and I'm confident you'll win the Title this weekend and he said I hope aswell! - and he thankfully did and I didn't jinx him! Great job Pedrosa on his season and Lorenzo again for winning his Second Moto GP title! - and Stoner, thanks for the memory's and a really deserved win on the weekend! Great job also by Arthur Sissis on 3rd. Marq Marquez on winning the Moto 2 Title and Ant West on a brilliant 2nd place! Wow that was the best weekend of Moto GP EVER!! so glad I'm back home but damn that was awesome!

You bought Honda gear - what were you on But I guess you had to if you wanted to Stoner to sign it... good to see you meet Lorenzo and Rossi and have them sign some of your gear...Lorenzo should get use to this kind of championship success as its going to keep coming with Honda's line-up for next year. It was more the occasion than the actual racing as I can imagine if he won by 9 seconds that it wasn't the most interesting race - but with it being his last home gp, possible last gp win, would have been nice to see it.

I was thinking about not doing it Bundy, but thought heck why not? this is going to be 'apparently' his last GP EVER! - because rumours are saying he'll quit and let Marquez ride at Valencia. Stoner is in talks with T8 over running in the Dunlop Series for 2013 also.

You got to like that...Stoner purely doing it out of enjoyment for motorsport rather than race for a championship that he would get paid heaps for but not enjoy it anymore. As for Marquez riding at Valencia, can't see it happening - good for the Spanish crowd if he did.

Honda tried to apparently sway Stoner to remain with the team for 2013 for a Record $15M which if I'm correct it would be more then what they paid F1 drivers Button and Barrichello when they raced for Honda. Just goes to show when I spoke to him, I mentioned fishing and he was like a kid in a candy store, wanted to keep talking but he had to go to a media function which was a shame so we couldn't keep talking....as I love fishing also!

I guess it's the kind of money that he can always go back to - but he would have earned a pretty penny from his years in motogp, even enough to retire on and maybe buy an REC and get into the V8 game. But I like his thinking, if he is to do the development series next year, of taking it easy, relaxing and spending more time with the family. He's talented enough anyway if he wants to go back to motogp to be on the pace straight away - so the world is at his feet.

Anyone that can turn down a 15m dollar offer to not race is gold IMO, It just shows that he is fed up and needs a change, Top job Casey.
