Makes more sense to sign Dugan now! Can't see the logic there - then you will have 3 origin quality fullbacks!

The rabbits were quite courageous last night but just lacked execution on their attacking plays inside the opposition's 20.
Slater may be the best fullback in the game in where he positions himself on the 5th tackle in anticipation of a kick but still remains a massive grub.

Bye Bye Jamie!
Leaves the door open for Carney I guess?

Bye Bye Jamie! Leaves the door open for Carney I guess? Stiff competition out there for him though - the broncos are after him, panthers perhaps...the dragons would be a good home for him. Edit: Just read that Soward is off to the panthers

Smith's decision to appoint Greenberg head of NRL operations is a good one I think. There may be perception issues that he is too close to the bulldogs but you can't deny that he has been a superb operator changing around the fortunes of the bulldogs.

Ouch! That game proved we are screwed against topline company!
Mind you, Roosters do look sharp!

Nice gutsy win from the rabbits tonight Manly as always played like grubs! 3 players on report (one player for two incidents) and should get at least 3 weeks each!! Sutton would not disgrace NSW if he played 5 8th or even lock.

He's a different man with the captaincy under his belt - more consistent Going to the rabbits v broncos game on Friday - I hope we give the broncs a bit of a touch up and the refs actually protect GI

Well the boys ran out deserved winners I thought. They had far and away the better ball - made more linebreaks, held out defensively. I was surprised that the broncos decided to play a grubby game - holding back GI on that break preventing him getting his hands on the ball and that kick by hoffman denying what I reckon was a certain try. Broncos like manly last week just didn't come out of the sheds for the 2nd half; weren't hungry enough.

Stewart is all but out of origin with a chipped bone in his back which begs the question who to replace him with at fullback? Logical choice would be Hayne but tbh his form in the last 2 series (not to mention this year to date) has been woeful or should it be the punter's favourite in Minichello? So far he has wound back the clock this season but it shouldn't be forgotten that he had a terrible last game start for the blues back in 2011. Either way, I would like to see Merritt come in to the starting team (of course!) at least on the wing and if the concerns about his defence are too much for the selectors to bear he would make an excellent fullback as well. www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/manly-sea-eagles-star-brett-stewart-all-but-out-of-state-of-origin-game-one/comments-e6frexv9-1226637479927
