Starts next week. Rumour is Hughes to replace the retired Ponting.

That's the word, let's hope so!
Starc and Johnson should at again, with Siddle coming back in.

Hughes has replaced Ponting. Is this his 2nd stint in the test team? If so, it has worked for many in the past, so you never know his luck...I hope he performs as we need some stability in the top order.
Bowling line-up looks good HDT.

Cowan's dismissal was one of the worst I've seen in international cricket.

Cowan's dismissal was one of the worst I've seen in international cricket. This I have to see I should preface that with 'for a batsmen'. I'm sure there are number 11's that have looked worse.

I read that Warner is out run-out!! Two easily avoidable wickets Can't afford to give them away cheaply, especially with how the Sri Lankans bat

Just watched the Cowan dismissial, He won't want to watch that shot again, Anytime soon.
Good to see Hughes make some runs.

It was a bad shot from Cowan but to be honest I've seen worse - Brad Haddin's shot in a second innings of a test match when he was trying to hit it over slips but got an edge to the keeper is one example...
I think the pitch made the Sri Lankan bowlers look better than what they would otherwise be...

Haddin's was worse. Yes.
Sorry about that

Haddin's was worse. Yes. Sorry about that I didn't think you would have a problem with that. Speaking about Haddin, if Wade fails again, I can see Haddin being a likely contender for boxing day. Hey wrighty will you be attending?

Not a chance of Wade getting dropped. Top scored in Perth, only one to score a century in last tour.
Yeah I'll be heading in Boxing Day. Got tickets to the mcc breakfast. Quite a large day when you're knocking back a couple at 7:30am...

Draw is looking more and more likely.
I'll be keen to see some runs from Warner tomorrow - to make up for that unfortunate run out in his first knock. Cowan will need some runs too as does Watson.
Wade missed a stumping today - looked so good taking the ball down the legside but when it came to this regulation stumping chance he just couldn't execute....

There is some suggestion in the media that Sri Lanka made an unofficial complaint to the match referee about Siddle tampering with the ball - not good if true.
Otherwise, Sri Lanka 4 down atm, so Aussies still looking good for the win.

Good win to the Aussies especially being one bowler down.
Was funny to watch Wade get the chance to roll the arm over for an over, He got good speed at 130, They where fairly stright up and down though, Hughes behind the wicket did not look very settled at all.

I was wondering for a second whether Wade was injured when I saw Hughes keep...but realised it was him bowling! Pretty embarassing for Sri Lanka that the opposition keeper is faster than two of their front-line seamers ;D

I like Warney's thinking on the Boxing day test - Jackson Bird in for Hilfenhaus. Johnson and Starc will cost the Aussies too many runs and Bird brings some more variety to their attack...not to mention his good form on the MCG wicket as well.

Douggie Walters is the guest speaker at the Boxing Day breakfast I'm going to. Should be awesome.
One of the few blokes in the world I wouldn't be too comfortable going beer for beer with!
