They've been talking for a year apparently.
Eddie just called it a rort and Malthouse a disgrace.

Sydney did the same with Tippet, They were in to him well before anyone knew.
Can't see how this deal will work over 9 year's? He is going to be 27 next year, Surely he can't play on until 36.
Unless they are planning for him to move in to the coaches box, Or pay him out early or something?

Well done to Dusty.
I heard 700k a year for Daisy? That's a huge risk with a guy that has a dodgy ankle.
Also wrapped to get eddie even though we are paying over for him, Now we will have to apply to the AFL for our very own COLSA (cost of large shorts allowance).

On the moveDONE DEALS Lance Franklin (Sydney) Pending AFL approval, the Hawk forward will sign a contract worth about $10 million over nine years in a deal no one, including GWS, saw coming. Dale Thomas (Carlton) Set to join Carlton on a four-year agreement at nearly $700,000 a season, an offer the Pies are highly unlikely to match. Eddie Betts (Adelaide) Carlton forward expected to receive a four-year offer of about $2m from the Crows. Colin Sylvia (Fremantle) The Demon No.3 draft pick to join Ross Lyon’s pursuit of a premiership. Shane Mumford (GSW) Sydney ruckman will accept a three-year deal with Giants. ONES TO WATCH Stewart Crameri (Essendon) Bombers’ leading goal-kicker looks sure to join the Western Bulldogs on a four-year deal on a salary way bigger than Essendon was prepared to pay. Heath Shaw (Collingwood) Has one foot out the door after both club and player decided to split. Geelong and GWS among a host of clubs interested in the feisty defender. Jesse White (Sydney) Out of contract and Sydney is resigned to losing him. Collingwood seems his most likely destination. Nick Dal Santo (St Kilda) North Melbourne believes it is closing in. Taylor Adams (GWS) Has five Victorian clubs after him, although there is more money to keep him now that Franklin is out of the Giants picture. Billy Longer (Brisbane Lions) With Shane Mumford off to GWS, Hawthorn is expected to seek a trade for the emerging ruckman. Shaun Hampson (Carlton) Richmond wants a ruck-forward and will meet with the under-used big man. A deal would require fair compensation as he is contracted for 2014. Paul Chapman (Geelong) His time is up with the Cats but desperate to play on. James Podsiadly (Geelong) Veteran forward says he will put his services as a proven goal-kicker on offer. Josh Hunt (Geelong) Another premiership Cat shown the door but not ready to quit just yet. Joel Corey (Geelong) Expected to part ways with the club on his own terms shortly. Corey Enright (Geelong) Expected to play for a 14th season. Matt White (Richmond) Has told the club he wants to leave and Port Adelaide appears to have landed him. Alan Didak (Collingwood) Not ready to retiree and would field offers. Xavier Ellis (Hawthorn) Adelaide and Fremantle has shown some interest. Leigh Montagna (St Kilda) Saints say he and Nick Riewoldt are “untouchable”, but who knows after what we saw with Franklin. OTHER UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS (may automatically move to the club of player's choice) Simon Black (Brisbane Lions), Jonathan Brown (Brisbane Lions), Heath Scotland (Carlton), Michael Osborne (Hawthorn), Matt Thomas (Port Adelaide), Luke McGuane (Richmond), Dylan Addison (Western Bulldogs), Daniel Cross (Western Bulldogs) OTHERS ON THE MOVE? Patrick Karnezis, Sam Docherty, Jared Polec, Elliot Yeo (All Brisbane Lions) www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/chapman-podsiadly-join-hunt-in-exit-from-cats-20131004-2uxvk.html
From the cats' perspective, added to the pods going is Josh Hunt and Chapman. Both should be commended for their service to the club - Chapman was a player that could win a game for the cats of his own bat and Hunt well no one I don't think could beat how pin point accurate a left kick he was in his hey day. Also, although not confirmed yet, it will be a shame to see Joel Corey go as he has done so much down back for the club. On the cats radar possibly may be Heath Shaw. Now that would be an interesting signing and somewhat make up for the loss of Chapman and probably Corey, although it will be hard to welcome a magpies as a cats player The other one from the Pies is Alan Didak - not sure who would want him with what he could offer?

Happy about Bomba.

Yeah it truly is AFL silly season Not wrong, The best one I heard today was from John Ralph(Hun), Stating we would trade Bernie Vince,Shaun Mckernan andRicky Henderson for Melbourne's pick no 2, I would take that in a heart beat, Pity it is pure nonsense though Have not heard much about the Cat's what are they looking to do this trade period?

Not sure but it could revolve around Heath Shaw and being a Collingwood player that might not be the best idea but then again look at who is our general manager - Neil Balme

Would Shaw fit in a the Cat's? He isn't a very good team player from what I have seen and heard, Maybe a change to a club with a no dickhead policy might sort him out, And the fact it is probably his last contract.
Also I heard Ruccuito saying on MMM radio here not long ago, That Geelong has a lot of talent in Geelong's second's side ready to jump straight in to the main side.

I'm not too thrilled that the cats are chasing him - he wouldn't be the kind of player IMO to become ingrained into the cats' culture Also I heard Ruccuito saying on MMM radio here not long ago, That Geelong has a lot of talent in Geelong's second's side ready to jump straight in to the main side. I've also heard the cats have plenty to draw on from their reserves which is a good thing if they want to continue their finals run.

Pods at the crows eh...might have to barrack a bit harder for them next year. Also bombers too - it feels weird having ex-cats players playing all over the place as we used to have a pretty solid playing group that didn't change much over the years apart from a few retirements and of course a one G Ablett.
Also congratulations to Simon Black on an absolutely terrific career.
Also don't forget the international rules game against Ireland is on Sunday morning at 6.30am (7.30 am for south of the border). Any win is good for me being half irish, half australian ;D
