And Geelong should win against the Kangas if they carry last weeks form. Only just what a nail-biter! I thought that free kick at the end for Bartel which won us the game was a fair albeit harsh call given the state of the game - they had been calling in the back for similar incidents before so I can't see a problem with it...

I didn't think they could be that bad again.
Was clearly wrong.
Some ripping footy today

Shh...the rain was to our advantage. Although when we were more than 1 goal down with less than 5 mins to go I was getting a bit worried

Much been going on in the AFL this week Wrighty? "See the Bombers shoot up, up..." Got to get a shot in, the blues are zero and two Cannot stand Freo's Ballantyne. I don't like thugs and snipers and such, but would love to see someone put him out of the game for longer than they get suspended.

Bombers struggling tonight.
A lot of disgraceful reporting going on. Journalism has hit an all time low. Just wait for the reports and go from there.
Innocent to proven guilty is how society works

Agree re the disgraceful reporting, but even if nothing is proven I can see the AFL doing their 'Bringing into disrepute" thing they love. Cousins never tested positive but was ousted for a year due to bringing the sport into disrepute. Cows avoided draft tampering and salary cap breach, but copped serious sanctions such as half million fines, 6 month suspensions and draft exclusions, all under the name of bringing the sport into disrepute. But, being in Adelaide, we have our tin foil hats on and so think the AFL will not hit one of their Victorian powerhouse clubs. Not sure if your telecast is ahead of ours, here it has just gone 3/4 time and you guys are less than a kick down to Freo. EDIT: Fulltime - Wrighty, bet you **** yourself when the handball went over the top to Freo's Mayne only 20 metres out with only 20 seconds left and Freo 5 only points down That was a good win to the bombers after their dreadful start.

Mate considering the last few days, that's one of the best wins ever for the club. Plenty of emotion in that.

Was a very impressive win last night, I thought the way Hird handled the after match chat to the commentators very well with all the stuff hanging over his head.

Very satisfying win over the Swans tonight - even without Hawkins getting much of the ball or providing a contest, extremely impressed with how our midfield battled to win the ball and give it to our small men to finish the job in front of the sticks.

Your mob just keep suprising me, When exactly are they going to bottom out again, Full credit to the recruiters, coaches and fitness staff at Geelong. Could we see a Geelong v Essendon GF, That would make things interesting ;D

But in all seriousness for Port to have a 4-0 start to this season is pretty impressive, Now I need to go head butt a wall I hate having to say that about Port

Thank God Carlton got a win last night ;D If we had lost, I would have had to watch Melbourne vs GWS today to see which one of those teams Carlton was going to be below on the ladder - and if those teams had a draw today, Carlton would have been below both of them Still, starting the season 1-3 is nothing to cheer about - same amount of scoring shots, and neither team was all that accurate, just that 7 goals 23 was shocking inaccuracy from the Weagles. Stats might show Port is currently undefeated, but surely beating Melbourne by only 13 goals is considered a loss?

Getting an absolute flogging at the hands of the kangaroos who were also winless before the start of the game - I don't follow them that much but with only players such as Staker and Black to come back in, I can't see that much hope for them this season. The board has to be having serious reservations about re-signing Vossy on that multi-year contract last year

I reckon it all comes down to this letter that Dank supposedly has and how much emphasis ASADA place in it when hearing Essendon's defence.
If the letter does state that this anti-obesity drug is approved for use by Dank on the players, you have to wonder whether this other element that it is prohibited anyway for human use will come into play.
Anyway, the players have got that defence that they did not knowingly use these prohibited substances, so they can still escape a ban if one is to be applied.
