Number 3 might be a bit of a stretch, But a number 7 spot similar to what Gilly used to do would be great, Hope the top order are watching how it's done. Nice 50 up as well, Also great job by Hughes, He is actually playing like a test cricketer should.

I reckon Hughes has picked up his game and concentration as he doesn't want to be out before the 19yr on debut! Top job Hughes on getting his half century.

I always thought Hughes would go well in the Ashes on English pitches(although one hot day doesn't make a summer), Not so sure how he will fair back at home?

Who would have thought at 9 for 117 still needing 90 we would be leading? 50 run lead would be great!

Those similar conditions he faces at the Adelaide Oval playing for SA must really be coming in handy! ;D

Holy ****ing **** that was ****ing unreal! You're telling me! ;D Looking forward to more of the same for the 2nd session If we could build it to a 100 run lead, that would be pretty unbelievable. Close decision on that possible stumping for Agar. I thought there was enough doubt to not give him out - anyway if there is any karma out there it makes up for the **** LB call that Rogers got.

Deeply, deeply unlucky agar holding out to mid-wicket having middled a pull shot. So unlucky but he played so well. He will never forget that performance. He did our country extremely proud.

Who would have thought at 9 for 117 still needing 90 we would be leading? 50 run lead would be great! With poms having made 215 and us at 9/117 I cracked the shits at the cocky English commentary on the TV talking smack so I turned down the TV volume and listened to ABC commentary instead. When we passed their 215 I turned off the ABC and turned the TV volume back up again - and so loved it. Was I the only one that let out a naughty school boy giggle when their commentators were thinking it was time to try something different and unorthodox in the bowling and one of them said, "How about a little Root?"

Yeah I remember them saying that...but looks as though Starc gets the Yorkshire bragging rights after removing his former team-mate Root. I can't believe Dar didn't just give that one - Trott was plum!
