Perez is leaving Mclaren - tbh I didn't think he did such a bad job. I mean certainly Button didn't out shine him comprehensively in their team mate duel. Maybe he couldn't come up with funding for next year, who knows? Kevin Magnussen, current Formula Renualt champion, is his likely replacement. It should be said that his results for 5 years prior to winning the FR championship have been nothing to write home about. I wouldn't be surprised if Perez finds himself back at Sauber if Hulkenberg goes to Lotus. www.planet-f1.com/news/3213/9024587/Perez-Confirms-McLaren-Departure

Congratulations are in order for Webber on his final GP in Brazil. Quite fittingly really, considering the last few years with Red Bull, he got 2nd. Although he didn't go without trying to get that elusive 1st place with some awesome around the outside overtaking but it was just that he started to far back - like usual I suppose But 12 years in the sport is an achievement in itself (not to mention all his GP wins especially Monaco) given that he started off in such humble circumstances having scored a ride in a real minnow team in Minardi in Melbourne and scoring that memorable 5th in an accident packed race. He probably has a few regrets - going to Williams instead of Renault and probably would prefer to have a different team-mate than team favouring Vettel in his most competitive days at Red bull but it certainly has been fun to watch him race and I wish him all the best as he embarks on a category of racing in Le Mans that he is returning to but this time with Porsche. Good luck Mark www.angelfire.com/trek/nz_usa/SMILE_THUMBSUP.gif [/img]

Had to laugh at the new F1 rules for 2014 that it's double points for the final round. Obviously a rule to appease Ferrari in case Alonso is 49 points behind Vettel going into the final round and therefore gives Alonso a shot at the title if Vettel DNFs and Alonso wins the race. I think it is an absolute farce and cheapens the championship.

This is the best thing McLaren have done in the last couple of year's, They have put Ron Dennis back in charge. www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/9119355/Dennis-back-at-the-helm-at-McLaren

Heading into Melbourne and we are looking at a totally different front row possibility. Williams, Force India and Mercedes seem to be setting the pace in the tests.
And Red bull are nowhere. They appear to be struggling with their engines. Let us hope that this isn't a Webber choosing Williams instead of Renault moment for Daniel and Red bull return back to the competitive ways we know they are capable of for the sake of his career.
The other interesting point is the times. There is a huge disparity between all the runners from what I can see with 4-5 seconds covering the top 5 or so teams.

Yes Bundy it is a weird testing season, I'm sure that's why they keep changing the regulations, Hope RB get on top of things just so we can see what Dan can do against the golden child.

Not surprising that the FIA rejected Red bull's appeal against Ricciardo's disqualification for the fuel sensor. Also at least in qualifying good to see Dan give Vettel a real run for his money.
