At the start of the year, many of us were picked the top 3 to be Hawthorn, Collingwood and Geelong and not necessarily in that order. Now come round 10 and this is how the table looks:
1. West Coast Eagles 9 8 1 0 142.6 32 2. Essendon 9 8 1 0 140.2 32 3. Adelaide Crows 9 7 2 0 127.4 28 4. Collingwood 9 7 2 0 110.9 28 5. Sydney Swans 9 6 3 0 130.7 24 6. Carlton 9 6 3 0 128.9 24 7. St Kilda 9 5 4 0 118.8 20 8. Hawthorn 9 5 4 0 116.4 20 9. Geelong Cats 9 5 4 0 103.7 20 10. Fremantle 9 5 4 0 95.5 20 11. North Melbourne 9 4 5 0 112.7 16 12. Richmond 9 4 5 0 110.6 16 13. Western Bulldogs 9 4 5 0 93.2 16 14. Brisbane Lions 9 3 6 0 87.7 12 15. Port Adelaide 9 3 6 0 86.7 12 16. GWS Giants 9 1 8 0 47.3 4 17. Gold Coast Suns 9 0 9 0 60.2 0 18. Melbourne 9 0 9 0 51.8 0
Now we are looking at West Coast, Essendon and the Crows leading with the teams that we thought would be leading in Hawthorn, Collingwood and Geelong in 4th, 8th and 9th respectively.
And you have teams like Swans, St Kilda and Carlton in between that lot as well while being a near even bet to beat any of those top 3 teams that sit above them...
so it all suggests to me that this could be one of the most open contests for the flag that we have seen in the last 10 years. Certainly something I didn't expect pre-season...

West coast and Collingwood are about where I thought they would be, But the rest is not at all how I thought it would be.
Hawthorn was my tip early in the year but they have under delivered so far, Geelong also look to have dropped off
Carlton also should hang there heads in shame, They have the cattle but dont really know how to use it.
Big suprises this year so far would be, Essendon, Crows and Richmond for mine.

St Kilda vs. Richmond tonight...and if they have surprised you so far Crikey, I reckon they will continue to surprise you again tonight as they are my tip.

St Kilda vs. Richmond tonight...and if they have surprised you so far Crikey, I reckon they will continue to surprise you again tonight as they are my tip. Should be a good game, Iv tipped the Tigers aswell, The only thing they need to get better at, Is stringing wins together when they are in form like now, Time shall tell if they can do that.

Richmond won crikey...just like you and me predicted...I didn't see the game crikey but it looks like Geelong had yet another disappointing win today. Won by 60 odd points in the end but it was much close with a quarter and a half to go...
Adelaide in front of Fremantle at the moment...

Go the Crows, I have to say this year is a lottery.

No doubt...although I wouldn't go past the crows or eagles for minor premiership, the flag itself is a whole different battle...

Anyone game enough to predict a winner for the premiership ?

Anyone game enough to predict a winner for the premiership ? I don't think anyone wants to dare to given it is such an open field...but the West Coast Eagles are looking good.

Anyone game enough to predict a winner for the premiership ? Cant predict a winner this year, But I have this aweful feeling Collingwood could win it again, They have so many injuries and still keep winning. In saying that though so does West coast, And if Buddy gets a roll on like yesterday the Hawks will be hard to beat.

Well done for Geelong. Crows last week signed on Dangerfield, Sloane and Douglas, Which are all great signs that players are happy down at Crowland, Just need to tie up Tex and Tippett and things will look very bright.

The game tomorrow night between the Cats and Blues is going to be crucial to how the season goes for both clubs IMO, After the Bye they both have hard opposition to overcome, So tomorrow nights game is worth 8 points, One good thing in Geelongs favour is Carlton have lots of injuries.

Not a great start for Geelong so far...Carlton are looking the more willing and able of the two.
Good game tomorrow night as well with Essendon taking on the Swans. I'm tipping Essendon to come out on top.

Not a bad first half, Geelong are really missing Pods who was a late withdrawl, Motlop looked good in the second(Except for the fifty he gave away).
Now for the second half.
