Looking forward to seeing how Stoner goes in his first year. Great news Seems people are already writing him off, claiming he'll plant it into the turn 8 wall...don't think Casey is that stupid. He obviously knows something we don't?

He obviously knows something we don't? That would just be the butt hurt Ford supporters that are still hurting from Stoner having a go at Frosty He will need at least 2 year's in the Dunlop series to get a real guage on his performance.

Probably just putting it off for the official announcement IMO.
Stoner and his sponsor's will want more exposure than this.

Not sure if I want him to not enjoy success in V8's, So that he ends back in Moto GP, Or for him to do well and stay? Either way it will no doubt spike people's interest in the Dulop series this year.

Giacomo Agostini has stated that should Stoner one day come back to MotoGP that he'll find it tough to get back to the form he was in...
It would be tough, but you don't lose the knack of riding.

I found it interesting that Stoner was saying he got out of Motogp because of the disrespect that was shown to him - fans spitting on him, being pushed while on the scooter to and from the pits etc rather than the injuries catching up with him or wanting to spend more time with the family. At least in this respect, he shouldn't have too much trouble adjusting to life driving a V8.

Have to agree with Stoner about both races having to wrap up because of time limitations. The first race was a joke while they sitted on the grid for 10 mins waiting for the rain to stop when they could have easily started the race as the track wasn't all that wet and the second one for it to be called with 3 laps remaining just for some burn outs to be performed by a ute and a doorslammer and a lap of honour for some vintage street performance cars is a joke too. Surely the dunlop series takes priority over this side entertainment and as Stoner said for teams to have travelled thousands of kms just to compete in that the event organisers should feel ashamed. m.speedcafe.com/2013/07/28/stoner-labels-dunlop-series-a-joke/

I reckon Jack might have had something for Steve Owen in today's race if he could have got passed Dale Wood (he did at one stage but couldn't hold the position). Also, I don't know whether set-up contributed to it but I really thought he struggled for most of the lap apart from skyline to forest elbow where he looked mighty.
