Pushing too hard to stay with Pedrosa and trying to overtake him caused that accident IMO...could have been due to a few spits of rain on the track as well...what a disaster!

Stoner ran put of talent there, that's nothing but over commitment from him, glad he's ok, I'm happy, but not at the same time, because Stoner really deserved that win with that HUGE MOVE!!
Stoner has only himself to Blame I've done that plenty of times, just run out of talent and you throw away a good result, he's got to be pissed.

That sucks balls, It was good to see Stoner pushing as hard as he was, But he should have had one eye on the championship, Good to see a race where you couldn't look away.

And it wasn't as if he dropped it trying the big kamikaze move down the inside...he was just following him when he lost it...credit to pedrosa for riding so well and keeping it upright at the pace he was going at...big chance to get a gap on Lorenzo all evaporated with that crash.

Lorenzo leads the championship now by 14 points over Pedrosa and 20 points over Stoner.
Go JL!
Stoner really needed to get second, Pedrosa has it wrapped up, no matter what really - unless Stoner done a down the inside move - which wouldve been hard, The move he tried was wild, and I thought he wouldve set it up -but it didn't stick.

See the problem is I don't think Stoner is in a conservative mood this year as it's supposed to be his last so I think he will be more interested in getting wins rather than putting in the consistent podium performance that would be better for his championship hopes.

Stoner backed up my comments that his mentality seems to be not one of being conservative and looking at his points' position in the championship but rather had the idea in his head of 'win it or bin it'. However, he said that it wasn't on the corner that he was hoping to pull off the move.
This is pretty annoying. I hope those potential points lost don't come back and haunt him at the end of the championship. And good to see him remain up-beat: www.motogp.com/en/news/2012/Respol+Honda+Sachsenring+Race

Is it a rule that the Marshalls are allowed to not hand back riders bikes now?

Is it a rule that the Marshalls are allowed to not hand back riders bikes now? I don't know but it seems to be happening a lot more now where they don't allow the riders to board back on it to continue in the race...

If it is a rule for safety its okay, But if its not they should hand it back and let the rider get valuable points.
