Well I can understand Steve Smith's inclusion as to leave him out as they did during the Australian summer is just bizarre and well for Mitchell Johnson I don't know whether his bowling or form warrants selection but I think the Australian selectors have been coerced into based on the amount of money CA has spent on him not only salary wise but developing a consistent bowling technique and the fact that he appears in CA's sponsors' promotions.

England are going really well again, The captain Andrew Strauss just got his first hundred in 18 months yesterday. It's going to be hard to topple them on their turf. (that is game against West Indies)
But we can do it IMO.

Did you check out their game with West Indies and see how much the bowl is moving off the pitch and in the air? Good luck getting your bat on that!! Facing england in their conditions is probably the hardest thing to do in world cricket atm but I hope we snag the win

I was watching little bit last night early this morning, they are getting better..by the time we play them...Watch out!! We will have our work cut out that's for sure.

England won!
WI gave them a good old slugg fest, lucky England didn't get into their recent ways of crumbling...I bet Australia are licking their lips ATM, England showed signs of their old habits...can't wait for this series,

Stuart Broad bowled well though it has to be said. I reckon the 2nd test will be a close one...

In sort of related news, 2013 Ashes to open at Durham
AUSTRALIA'S quest to reclaim the Ashes will occur in the unlikely venue of Durham next year - the first of 10 successive Test matches against the old enemy.
In a curious scheduling twist, Australia and England will play a five-Test series in England in 2013 before returning to Australia for a home Ashes series in 2013-14. Durham - which has never hosted an Ashes Test - was yesterday announced as the venue to open the series, with Edgbaston to miss out on hosting an Ashes Test for the first time since 1977.
There will also be no Test visit to Headingley, one of Australia's happiest hunting grounds, having lost only once to England at the Leeds venue since 1985.
In a packed schedule following a tour by New Zealand and the ICC Champions Trophy, England will host Australia in five Test matches, five one-dayers and two T20 internationals from July 10.
The Aussies will be in Britain for the Champions Trophy from June 6-23, then play two four-day warm-up matches for the Ashes series against Somerset and Worcestershire.
The first two Test matches will be played in quick succession at traditional venues Trent Bridge (July 10-14) and Lord's (July 18-22) before a tour game against Sussex at Hove from July 26-28.
The third Test will be at Old Trafford from August 1-5 before the Ashes breaks new ground and heads north to the Durham ICG for the first time from August 9-13.
A two-day tour match in Northampton on August 16-17 precedes the final Test back in London at The Oval from August 21-25

So basically next year is going to a full year of anticipation towards and watching hopefully some awesome ashes test cricket with back to back series in England and Australia.

Not really Donk, I know all of them.. but I was watching alot of England games recently, Against WI..England are in good touch. Good players, it will be tough to knock them off, they have a great top order. Anyone watch Alex Hales score 99 then get out in T/20 game against WI, that was heart-breaking for him.

They have a good top order no doubt but it is a bit hot and cold and misfires quite regularly...of course they're at home which sort of limits this theory but Australia's best chance will be with our bowlers...our batsmen need to stand up too

And Pat Cummins will be a great wild-card in our bowling attack.
