Been pricing new tyres for the 4WD today.
I currently have B.F. Goodrich A/T KO's which are reasonably top end!
Problem is since the last time I bought them they have gone up $70.00 a tyre which puts them @ $369 everyday price from Bob Jane, so I decided to investigate a few other brands and treads for what I do.
Iv'e now had a look at the New Yokohama Geolander, Bridgestones, Kumho and Maxxis A/T's which are all reasonably priced and may consider one of these.
My question is, do you guys have a favourite brand and style tyre for your car that your happy with or do you go for what is a good price and available at the time?

Bridgestone A/T on the Cruiser ute have been very good to me over the years.
Roadstone light commercial are also an excellent tyre for heavy duty trailers.

Didn't really pay how much attention I have got out of them! Beach and lots of dirt & rock roads + Highway. The BF's are a good tyre but like I say they are pricing themselves out of it atm! The Yokohama Geolanders look pretty good!

They are priced on the high side, Thought you must have been getting lots of Ks out of them or great performance, How much where the Yokos?
IIRC I pay about 250 per tyre for the Bridgestones.

My dad has a 2010 model Pajero he uses for off road use only and he has Mickey Thompsons on them. Great tyre for off road ONLY, especially going to Stockton sand dunes!
From memory he pays around $570 a tyre and it may of went up also. They are good tyres though. But you would want more A/T.

IIRC I pay about 250 per tyre for the Bridgestones. 265 a piece and if you buy 4 straight up you get a tyre lifetime replacement from blowout, if your tyre gets spiked etc! Plenty of sidewall tread as well! HDT05 Mickey Thompson tyres are expensive buts as the guy at Bob Jane said anything like that especially from the states you are paying big import costs for now!
