I am interested to read the article where Rossi bears all where he says " “Is a shock for everybody. Nobody expected the rumours [about Casey’s retirement] to be true. It’s a great pity for MotoGP, because we lose a great rider. I want to continue for a minimum of two more years. This is real – I’m not retiring!” I'm not surprised he wants to continue if such a fast rider like Stoner is out of the picture and maybe he is eyeing that repsol honda seat. But I thought Honda don't want him? www.motogp.com/en/news/2012/Rossi+interview+Le+Mansmeanwhile Stoner holds a one tenth lead over pedrosa in p 2 1STONER C.Repsol Honda Team1:33.8762 PEDROSA D.Repsol Honda Team+0.1293 LORENZO J.Yamaha Factory Racing+0.2604 BAUTISTA A.San Carlo Honda Gresini+0.5615 DOVIZIOSO A.Monster Yamaha Tech 3+0.7096 SPIES B.Yamaha Factory Racing+0.8337 CRUTCHLOW C.Monster Yamaha Tech 3+0.9458 BARBERA H.Pramac Racing Team+1.2079 ROSSI V.Ducati Team+1.23610 BRADL S.LCR Honda MotoGP+1.32511 HAYDEN N.Ducati Team+1.68112 www.motogp.com/en

He won't be getting it IMO. They have their eyes already on Marc Marquez, watch this space.

He isnt being managed by the same guy that manages Pedrosa, is he? Big step for him but he does have that Repsol link... And IMO Rossi won't get Repsol ride as I was just hypothesising for the sake of it, I reckon he will go back to Honda but for Gresini, as we all know!! haha Time for Ducati to breed some new blood as well, as Hayden is out for mine as well

Not sure. He has links (Repsol), because he's Spanish.
MotoGP need another American.

With the speed Cal is showing and Dovi...it's (his seat) not looking too flash.
He should remain there, I'm a fan of Spies since superbikes, but he needs to up the pressure on Lorenzo, and be more consistent.
I wonder whether Repsol will go to a 3 bike team again?
With Pedrosa lead rider, Bradl, and Marquez as the up and comers?

But then wouldn't that defeat the purpose of removing one bike last year?

I'm already putting my money on Lorenzo being 2013 champion.

I'm already putting my money on Lorenzo being 2013 champion. Yep, most likely. Isn't the MotoGP getting boring though with CRT, without Edwards it's no fun, I never liked these bikes...

CRT is like Hispania in F1, they've got no hope of doing anything special anytime soon. However for CRT everyone may have to use it. Thankfully F1 hasn't decided to make every F1 team use a Hispania built car!

Scratch Marc Marquez, forgot about the millions of rules MotoGP have. He can't ride a Factory bike because he is no a "contracted rider"....
So A contracted rider is a rider who has participated in nine or more events during one season.
A “Rookie” is a rider nominated by a participating team for participation in the entire season, who has not been a contracted rider as defined above in the same class in any previous season.
In other words, a 'rookie' only becomes a 'contracted' rider after nine races in the same season...pretty stupid really. Lorenzo luckily got away with it in '08!
Bradl, or those Yamaha boys are looking good, please not Lorenzo, Spies, Cal, take Dovi again. Haha.

If they take Lorenzo then it'd probably be a Honda dominated championship, unless Spies were to pick up his game.

Marquez? Nope...Has to be in Moto GP... Are you saying Marquez should be in MotoGP? Or are you saying that the rules preclude him from competing next year in MotoGP? Woops! My bad forgot to put factory bike, he can ride in Moto GP, but not on a factory bike, sorry for making you get confused, lol. So when I said he can replace stoner, he can't because he's not a contracted rider, which prevents them from racing in a Factory Moto GP team..no wonder you were confused, late night last night that's why, haha.

But just for my understanding HDT...take Spies for example...how come he could just walk straight into a factory Yamaha ride? Is it because he was racing for Yamaha in the US? To refer back to Marquez, if he gets picked up by Honda as a contracted rider for the rest of the year, does that count in an effort for him to ride for Repsol Honda next year in motogp? In all likelihood, he will probably ride for 'playboy' honda (I mean LCR, haha) and Bradl or even Bautista will step up while Marquez is given more experience in a lesser bike...
