I'm a Souths fan so I was thrilled with last night's win. Apart from some of the defence out-wide, as long as we have a fit GI and Taylor we will be a match for all teams including Melbourne who I once tagged as unbeatable.
I thought the refereeing was atrocious last night on both sides but especially against Souths. The penalty count against the Rabbits was a 2 to 1 count for most of the night. And just the lack of consistency was appalling as Sharks players could lay around and keep a hold off the Souths player making it tough for them to play the ball, while the slightest indiscretion of that nature for Souths was usually penalised. And the use of the video ref on some of the most obvious tries just ruins the flow of the game as they were clearly tries such as Merritt's intercept try.
But we got another bye in as many weeks so it will be good to have a rest then for the next round we have to be on it to keep up the momentum.

Souths played well and deserved the win, but the sooner that grub Luke cops one on the chin the better.
Now to brace myself for the result of the Prior incident!

Yeah Donk one day he will get dropped but he isn't playing like a grub to the degree he used to, especially referring to last year's Tri Nations series!!
And Prior is looking at being sidelined for a hefty period even though Thurston is all good to go this weekend!

The nrl still has to do something otherwise it will look bad to some players from similar past and present incidents to Prior's.

Good to see Merritt and Inglis going well. Great job Rabbitohs, they are looking more Melbourne like.

Good to see Merritt and Inglis going well. Great job Rabbitohs, they are looking more Melbourne like. Not quite...still don't have the defence like those former cheats. But still with the ball and especially if Inglis has it we are explosive and he is nearly unstoppable when he is a couple of metres from the line. Just glad Sam Burgess got through the game without an injury

One could say that this may be the year Souths shine, but that usually gets laid to rest 3/4 of the way through each year! At least we know the Knights are already laid to rest! And the Dragons, well I hope Donkjnrs team didn't break their back!

You mean 1/2 halfway during the season donk...usually they destroy it then but come home with a sail when it is already too late. Dragons still have a chance...they have discipline usually which still counts for something. Cows are the dark horse for the premiership!!

Storm are paying good ods on going undefeated, I think they could do it. Thoughts?

Storm will struggle come state of origin. One lose could hurt the storm which could lead to many loses as they haven't felt what it is like to lose yet.

But unlike the Broncos, I don't think origin will have the same detrimental effect on them as it did and still does on the Broncos.

I won't go into the Storm thing but, it is my personal goal to sit and watch replay after replay of the game that knocks them out of the semi's if it happens!

In breaking news, Shane Flanagan has been rushed to hospital to undergo emergency surgery. I hope it has nothing to do with Monday night's result But I wish him a speedy recovery...he will be out for the remainder of the week.

Well done Manly...a worthy win. Broncos couldn't defend to help themselves and if they play like this with most of their stars, imagine what Origin is going to do to them I don't what it is about these double headers at Suncorp but the Broncos tend to struggle to get the job done...

It made for captivating viewing this afternoon did the sharks v melbourne game and well done to the sharkies for snatching the win but I must re-affirm my comments I made on V8 C that Slater is a grub and I would be glad to see him out of the origin team (not like it is going to happen though) for two particular grubby acts being that he took a sharks player out early in the game from a high ball (the one in which rabs didn't know what the penalty was for) and secondly for taking out robson (I think?) when he was following through on the grubber...GI should be full-back especially given his last performance against the sharkies...
And hey if Souths beat the sharkies yet the sharkies beat the top running team in Melbourne, does that mean Souths are the best atm? ;D

Boyd looked better in the loss to the cowboys, but I think it's going to be good to see his confidence grow at Origin level, He needed a break from Club level.

Hey Bundy, my team vs yours this weekend, may the best fire breathing team win! Nah but in all seriousness I'm going to say the Rabbitohs will win this one.
