Was at my local Holden dealer on the weekend looking at Captiva's with my wife (she bought one) and was having a look at a few VF's they had there.
Sales manager noticed my E3 R8 Clubby and we got into a chat about HSV's.
I said I wouldn't mind going for a test drive of the new GTS when they get one in and he kind of chuckled.
Apparently HSV have over 250 orders already for the GTS and he told me that
IF I put a deposit down now I might have a car in February or March.
The dealers anticipate that once the media ban on the GTS's performance is lifted (the gag order apparently came from Holden who didn't want the HSV's performance figures to hog the media attention at the VF's launch) they will be flooded with even more orders and the waiting list could blow out even further.
My dealer mate claimed that they had customers calling them and offering to pay over list price to get their order bumped up the que...
It seems HSV is limited to 50 LSA Supercharged engines a month. They are trying to get this number increased but apparently they are unlikely to get an increase in quota from the factory until next year.
