Lost a few wickets on the 2nd morning but to be 400 odd for the 1st innings is a good start against a class bowling outfit like South Africa. Well done S Marsh showing that he isn't just a 20/20 batsmen.

Very happy with that start as well Bundy, Let's see how a bowler's go backing a decent score up?
Edit just noticed that we have them at 6/140, MJ has got 4! He is on fire at the moment.

Make that 12 wickets for MJ, We have them on the ropes now at 8/165 chasing 481, Who would have predicted this sort of form.

281 run win. Johnson confirms he is one of the best bowlers in the world.
Looking at the 2nd test, despite Doolan's efforts I don't think it is enough to keep Watson out if fit to play. This might seem unfortunate but I reckon his relationship with boof being pretty strong, what he gets paid by CA and a batting record that keeps him in there by the slightest of margins probably means he will take back his place.
The other option is for doolan to stay at 3 and Watson open which is my preferred way. Rogers' record won't allow for this but I reckon Rogers will have a bit of an ordinary time with the bat for the rest of the series.

The transformation in Mitchell Johnson is the most amazing in any sportsman I've ever seen!

The transformation in Mitchell Johnson is the most amazing in any sportsman I've ever seen! And how much of it is attributable to that mo?

This pitch sounds pretty dead from what I have heard, But great results for Lyon to get 5 wickets in the first innings! Edit that we are 7/201 Could be interesting after all!

Not looking good now - I think we are heading to the third test as the decider.

Not looking good now - I think we are heading to the third test as the decider. Yep we crashed and burned in that last one, Thought when Warner and Rogers were set and scoring well we may have scratched out a draw, Or at least the rain would have come on day 5, Next minute Warner went and it all went to crap.

Warner and Clarke take a bow. They have put the Aussies in a spot where we almost cannot lose. And Clarkey had to dig deep for that knock with all the rib ticklers he received.

Good morning - lost one wicket in Smith but Clarkey brought up his three figures. Watson looks like he doesn't want to mess about.

Sounds like Boof gave the batsmen a rocket between tests because they have all looked a lot better.
Well done Pup.

Is there anyway that Faulkner or Henriques can replace Watson as the all-rounder given that Watson sees himself playing that role in the team now?
Haddin out now as well.

Aussies continue to surge ahead with Warner closing in on yet another ton - South Africa seem to have put out the white flag bowling part-time duminy 16 out of the 42 overs so far
