First Friday practice for the AAA 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway is over after 58 minutes, the top 5, slowest and notes: #56-Truex, Jr. 157.092 #15-Bowyer 156.597 #11-Hamlin 156.563 #55-Martin 156.325 #16-Biffle 156.311 slowest: #32-Bell 150.075 & #10-Patrick 148.723. notes: Practice started about 30 minutes late after early morning rain showers pushed the schedule back and NASCAR had to remove some water from the track after K&N East qualifying. Practice was delayed again for more water on the track. This practice will set the order for qualifying, which is scheduled for Saturday at 1:40pm/et and will be shown on SPEED. Hamlin wins pole at Dover: #11-Denny Hamlin won the pole for the AAA 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway with a speed of 159.299mph for his 3rd pole of 2012 and 12th career pole. #15-Bowyer will start 2nd followed by #56-Truex, Jr., #22-Hornish, Jr., #18-Busch, #16-Biffle, #24-Gordon, #39-Newman, #5-Kahne, and #2-Keselowski.
