If Penske do buy-out FPR, should Tim Edwards be worried that Penske may parachute in someone from their US operations to take the reigns?
More to the point - is it us that should be worried that Penske will replace Edwards?

Just to further add, Penske is a smart man - been in the motor-racing industry for what seems like an eternity and is successful in his trucking and dealership businesses from all reports - he will look at TE's tenure as the top operations man at FPR for the last 7-8 years at least and see that despite being the no.1 threat to Holden and 888 from the ford side they have only managed to get 1 Bathurst crown and no championships.
I reckon he will start packing his bags before day 1 of the new ownership and before Penske has got a chance to review his position should they buy French and Nash out.
But it won't be the last we will see of TE I'm afraid - might go on and head up Volvo perhaps.

Latest is Penske is looking at 2015 with possibly a take-over of DJR. IMO bad decision to take-over a team like DJR; they would need at least 3 years to turn into a championship winning force. FPR, for all its faults, could probably be turned around in 1 year and therefore is the better option.

Agree that FPR would be the better option, But if DJR keep getting tech support from FPR and there chassis then it will be dangerous if DJR get a cash injection from Penske, After all they were the last Ford team to win the championship, Before Dicky boy burnt another bridge.

True but it would require a total clean-out of the team including the getting rid- off of any of Dick's mates.
