So JW has extended his contract at 888 until the end of 2015. Some critics will point to the tired argument that he simply doesn't want to push or challenge himself by trying an international racing category instead. I reckon and whilst he doesn't openly confess to being a man driven to break records but he is that close to round wins by driver (5 off Lowndes), pole positions (6 off Brocky) and not to mention ebing joint record-holder of the number of championships won with Geoghegan, Johnson and Skaife that he may as well keep going to achieve those records in his own outright. The other part of me reckons with news from the States that Ambrose's time over there is nearly up and given the likelihood that Ambrose will return home to race full-time in the V8s next year that he will want to prove (much to the delight of most Holden, 888 and JW fans) that he can beat Ford fans' saviour. www.speedcafe.com/2014/02/19/whincup-sign-one-year-contract-extension/
