Very impressive so far. Shame we can't use the second Volvo as a measure of how much of yesterday was Scotty Mc and how much could be attributed to the car.
Had a bit of a laugh when Dahlgren had to pit twice for tyres (think in race 1). They have always said these cars are over-powered and under-tyred - he must be having some fun adjusting. Very early days for him and I look forward to seeing what he can do after he has adjusted, and how long it takes for him to adjust.
What I did find interesting was Scott's speed from turn 7 to 9, which kept Whincup from being close enough to dive up the inside at 9. Not sure if it is pure straight-line speed down Brock and Brabham straights, whether it is getting a good run out of 7, or if he is able to carry more speed through turn 8. Either way, Scotty doesn't look vulnerable into 9 (yes, I know that is where JW started 'that' passing move around the outside).

Not that it really matters or that I necessarily care but you would have to think with how quickly Volvo have homogenized their engines to the performance of Holden and Ford and compared to how slow Nissan and Mercedes have been in a similar transitional period, that Volvo have used a lot of HMS technology in that engine. I also have a suspicious thought in the back of my head that Garry and V8s for that matter if they want to see Volvo succeed in their first year (which they already have IMO) that they can stretch the parity boundaries in terms of both aero and engine because they have a driver in the second car who is naturally going to underperform given it is his first year and therefore, Scotty M and Volvo can fly under the radar to some degree...
