Judging by that time Marquez is going to be serious competition for Pedrosa. I hope there is more to come from Rossi and he is just getting used to riding the Yamaha again as the Ducati is a whole different beast. Bradl I feel is going to be a consistent podium contender this year. Perhaps, with no Stoner, he will be the rider I'll follow closely. He is, after all, riding a Honda! Edit: Hoping for a bit more from Ducati though

I'm not, I expected those sort of times...he's a freak! It's going to be hard for me to cheer the kid now that he's on the dark side.

Happened before with Rossi, might happen again with Marquez and interestingly enough it might involve Rossi again as he is the likely one to vacant the ride for Marquez!

Good news for Motogp and the number of manufacturers on the grid moving forward as Suzuki sent some engineers to attend a manufacturers' meeting with Magneti Marelli who will be supplying the control ECU that all bikes will have to use from 2014 onwards. But in saying that the other manufacturer will use their own software instead of this control ECU in exchange for a fuel penalty of 4 litres compared to other bikes with the ECU...but Suzuki coming back seems to be gaining speed even Honda's VP thinks so! www.crash.net/motogp/news/188178/1/suzuki_attended_motogp_ecu_meeting.html

Interesting comments from Rossi saying that Marquez was better than him at the same stage of his career - well better in the sense that although they both recorded the fastest laps of their respective debut races at least Marquez managed to finish. I think Rossi was right when he said that he will need to build up a buffer over Marquez early in the championship as Marquez is only going to improve as the season continues. Also hope the form that the Hondas showed in the private test at the circuit of Americas comes through in the real race there next weekend. www.crash.net/motogp/news/189646/1/rossi_welkom_04_more_special_marquez_better_than_me.html

Have to say I was a tad pissed off by Pedrosa last night not making it easier for Marquez to get by when it was clear that Pedrosa couldn't keep up with Lorenzo anymore. Well done to Lorenzo though on the win - he rode a smart race.

Hard luck for Lorenzo as he broke his collarbone after a crash in practice for the Assen gp.

Nicky Hayden has confirmed that this season will be his last year for Ducati. Probably a good decision for both parties as it hasn't really been working out too well. There is a strong chance that he may end up at Suzuki but WSBK might be the better option. As for his vacated seat, you have to wonder whether Ducati have in mind of re-creating the tech 3 line up of last year for them next year with Crutchlow joining Dovi there. I reckon Crutchlow needs to stick with Yamaha and Tech 3 if he doesn't get the factory ride. www.crash.net/motogp/news/193633/1/nicky_hayden_confirms_ducati_motogp_exit.html

I watched the race from the brickyard this morning and Marquez backed up his form in practice and qualifying with a really dominant performance in the race to win it comfortably. It begs the question with the confidence behind him and the speed of the bike underneath him who can really match him in this title fight at the rest of the tracks this year? You can almost give the title to him now as you can give the title to Vettel in F1

Good news for Colin Edwards should he stay with his team that I was hearing on tonight's telecast they are going to get a satelite Yamaha for next year.
