Daisy in for his first game for Carlton and the pods playing for the crows - makes for an interesting game. 2 points in it atm. I reckon the crows will win. Glad for the win, More important though is to come away with no injuries and some more game time in to the youth, Have not really been blown away by Podsiadelaide yet, Will be good to have another big man up there though for Betts to crumb off. Only seen the highlights from the game so far, But from Carlton supporters are very happy they got Daisy after racking up a few touches last night, For 700K a year he would bloody want to.

With pods he almost is most effective when he is a defender down back that is allowed to come forward once in awhile to kick a goal - as an out and out forward he struggles with consistency in front of the sticks I found at Geelong. As for Daisy, Carlton obviously paid a premium for him because Mick wanted him - not sure he is worth it tbh And by the looks of the game tonight, not a good start for chappie with the bombers losing but it seems he was the pick of them tonight.

Glad Selwood pulled through tonight with our run of injuries so far Dam it!!!! Only kidding Bundy Lucky he caught it before it went twang. I could be wrong here but it appears Melbourne are looking way better with there new coach and the recruits in the midfield, I have to say they really needed to lift because if you have supported Melbourne for this last period it would have been hell.

The list of 14 current and former bombers' players who admitted to ASADA in interviews that they were injected with substances has been released. Club captain Jobe Watson, Dyson Heppell, Michael Hurley, Tom Bellchambers, Jake Melksham, Heath Hocking, Michael Hibberd, Kyle Hardingham, Tayte Pears, Alex Browne, Stewart Crameri, Scott Gumbleton, Ricky Dyson and Sam Lonergan. The problems that stem from this is that these names were sourced from an interim report which doesn't represent who might be listed in their final report as ASADA are now at a point where the investigation has been completed but it has to be reviewed. Obviously ethical questions should arise over the journalists involved and the Herald Sun's use of this outdated and unreliable information to damage these players' reputation before the final report and official release of the report is carried out by ASADA. www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/bombers-in-the-dark-the-12-afl-stars-still-in-asada-limbo/story-fni5f6kv-1226842446681 www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/release-of-players-names-an-egregious-breach-of-confidentiality-20140302-33tl4.html

Finally footy back this weekend, Well at least for some teams hey Bundy, Looks like the clash next week between the Cats and Crows will be with both sides with plenty of injuries sadly, I thought we would have our best chance to push Geelong at home in years, Unfortunately then we starting getting lots of injuries to our best starting 22.

+1 No COLA no Swans Without watching the game it is a bit scary that GWS are able to do that to a team like Sydney so soon, We only just beat GWS in a practise match a week ago. I put that down to it being just a practise match, Not so sure now. Also GC beating Richmond was good, GC are no longer easy beats on what I watched tonight. And finally Freo smashing Collingwood by 70 points was more than I would have tipped, Freo look to have picked up right were they left off last year, They will be very hard to beat IMO.

No surprises with the AFL game not being broadcast in Brisbane - not even on 7mate Anyway, both teams have pretty long lists of outs - I argue Geelong's is worse which will make our win better or in the small chance we lose the loss more understandable A few things - Selwood's inclusion is a big in especially with the Crows' captain out. With Taylor Walker not playing and with only Pods leading the forward line that should be a worry for the Crows. Finally Hamish McIntosh will play a game for the cats after being recruited for the 2013 season! Looking forward to seeing Harry Taylor and Hawkins in the forward line together - one of the best combinations in the league if it can continue and the back-line can go on without Taylor there. On a sidenote, I've got to organise some tickets for next Sunday's game at the gabba against the Lions. But wtf is with the 12.10pm start - more start times scheduled for fox footy to have back to back games I don't think it will really matter for the cats as they should be pretty well conditioned after having 10 days off and they are playing against the Lions but still that game will probably be played in 30 degree heat...

That sucks that it is not being broadcast I would feel a lot more confident if Jelwood was an out, It is also Bartels 250th which can sometimes fire the team up. In regard with losing our captain, That really is not a big deal, Our real Captain should be Dangerfield. Agree both sides have lots of injuries and think Geelong will be to strong at Symonds Stadium, Our only hope is to keep Stevy J and Hawkins Quiet, That will be hard with the defence we have at the moment. Cant wait to be honest will be good just to see where both teams sit, All will be known this time tom night.

Looks like it was a pretty good game up until 3rd quarter time. Bartel probably couldn't have picked a better performance in his 250th with his 4 goals. And seems as though the other big three in our midfield Selwood, Johnson and Kelly all stood up tonight. Tough ask for the crows - not sure what happened in the Lewis Johnston incident with Stevie J but for the crows hopes I hope he gets off.

That was a terrible way to get off to from a Crows fan point of view, But would be great for Geelong fan, I had tipped Geelong would win but hoped I was wrong, With the Johnson vs Johnstone clash, I really don't think much will come from it, Even Johnson was shaking his head to say it was an accident. He will probably get 10 weeks though

As a geelong supporter that hurts a little Chappy was best on field but good for Essendon he made the difference in their win.

Quite predictable that the demons start the season by playing with a very defensive mindset...
On the other game today, Lions should take some confidence into the cats game next Sunday from pushing the Hawks in the third quarter today.

Melbourne needs time no miracle cure with Roos, But they would hope to give more fight than they have for a long period in the last few years.

Hawks v bombers will be a big game this week - looking forward to going to the gabba on Sunday. Hopefully we don't blow another 8 goal lead heading into the final quarter...
