Perez will be at Ferrari IMO or someone else for when Vettel turns up in 2014. Massa will be gone I hope. And I'm pretty confident Ferrari will not renew his contract. Would it be in Perez's or any other young up and coming drivers best interest for just 1 year HDT? Im not convinced there is.

Remember though Ferrari have to perform and then Vettel will consider the deal as accepted as far as I see it...if they don't perform then maybe Perez will be there for a few more years?

I cant see Vettel leaving RBR in the near future.. he has the team wrapped around his pointy finger! As for Perez, when does his contract with Sauber expire?

Pretty sure I heard somewhere that it is the end of this year
Maria seems to be on the mend. Marussia have issued a statement saying that they believe Maria's recovery to be 'remarkable'. She has been moved out of intensive care (or critical care they call it) and she has been communicating with medical staff and her family. www.speedcafe.com/2012/07/12/marussia-issues-update-on-de-villota/
Webber seems rejuvenated and up-beat and has re-assured fans of his that he has no intentions of 2013 being his last year. www.speedcafe.com/2012/07/12/webber-2013-not-a-retirement-year/

Good on Maria!!
If Webber keeps driving at the level he is this year in 2013, There is no reason for him to retire.
In Regards to Perez, I also think it is his final year, But even if its not and If Ferrari want him they will get him with the working relationship Sauber and Ferrari have.

Marussia have come out and released a statement saying that the car is not to blame for Maria's accident. They have, through an external forensic investigation, cleared the car mechanically of any fault and given it the 'green light' for it to be raced this weekend. The cynic in me says that there could be two ulterior motives in doing that which is firstly for the purposes of making sure that they can continue to compete in F1 to make them eligible for the end of year television rights' distribution of revenue and to secondly ensure that Maria's chances of commencing a successful negligence claim against the team are limited and also any potential flow-on effect against the FIA for approving the fitness of the chassis to race. www.speedcafe.com/2012/07/17/marussia-car-not-to-blame-in-de-villota-accident/

Because the tests were done externally I am more inclined to believe it to be above board, It will be interesting to get Maria's take on it when she has recovered enough.

So RBR are not cheats, HDT will be annoyed Nah, not at all. At worst I was hoping they would lose all their team points so then Ferrari would have a chance at winning the Teams title, haha Can't see Ferrari winning at the next round, they usually struggle here. McLaren are my tip!

Just like their 'hole' in the floor idea, seems the FIA has a penchant for stifling Red bull's innovation...

Just like their 'hole' in the floor idea, seems the FIA has a penchant for stifling Red bull's innovation... Other teams are the ones who would be putting it to the FIA, Its fairly normal stuff in F1, If Ferrari keep winning they can expect more things to be checked on there cars more often.
