Is Andrew Hilditch the new English batting coach? He could never leave the hook shot alone either

And there it is Used to be that the Ashes was a captain-killer for England - could be headed that way again...[trying to not get ahead of myself]

Well it can't be Andy Flower's influence but I had to laugh at Prior getting dismissed hooking as well **** well done boys - we are nearly there to getting back that urn England should be pissed - they should have won here given the conditions being so similar to back home but now they are looking down the barrel of losing at least 3-0 with a bouncy, pacey Perth wicket to contend with. Can't wait for Perth!

I hope Harris pulls up well tomorrow morning. Only needs to put in one more performance and he can put his feet up for the rest of the summer.

Phew - I'm just glad the aussies took the honours at the end of the day after being 5 down and looking like only getting 200.

Test cricket doesn't really get much better than what we have seen up to now in the first 3 tests and today was no different - England slightly down I reckon knowing that they have to bat on this pitch that is cracking up already. If we can dismiss England for slightly less than 300 and have a lead of 100 and then go in and score 200 min, then I think setting 300 for England to win will be enough to grab that urn back.

Was a great win and more importantly ever player is contributing, It has been far to long that we have had to rely on to few to do to much. Great job And I may have to take back that Warner is not a Test player, Not yet but not far away

Can't believe Swann retired mid-series. Since they are going down, you have to go down with the rest of the blokes. Really weak of him IMO.

They are falling apart at the moment, Can't see KP staying around in Test cricket to long after Sydney either to be honest, And Prior is also lucky to be getting a game at the moment.

Strong day for the Aussies on what seems to be a batting paradise. Coulter-nile will want to forget about that catch with KP - same as Bailey. I wonder if wrighty was part of the record crowd attendance today?

Well it had to happen eventually in the series that our middle order couldn't save the day

Moving towards the final test with Watson possibly not playing with his injury, I could go either way on whether Doolan or Faulkner is picked. Doolan because Punter swears by him or Faulkner (well Punter swears by him too ) but I reckon he would contribute plenty whether with the bat or ball. As for the poms, something huge is going to happen as for retirements/sackings - Flower has to be the bookie's favourite to be given his marching orders.

Australian squad for one-dayers - good squad like the inclusion of Pattinson (bowled well last night for the Renegades) and Warner's recall is definitely a must Australia ODI squad David Warner, Aaron Finch, Shane Watson, Shaun Marsh, Michael Clarke (capt), George Bailey (vice-capt), Brad Haddin (wk), Glenn Maxwell, James Faulkner, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Pattinson, Clint McKay, Xavier Doherty.

Close start so far. Disappointing to see Warner go so early but hopefully Watson and Clarke can steady the ship.

Great recovery job by Haddin and Smith today after rescuing the innings when the Aussies were 5-97 down.
Also good to see Johnson take a late one in the day which also means that he is only 8 wickets away from the coveted 40 wickets for a 5 test ashes series.

Yep great recovery, It might be time for Wrighty to praise Haddin Ok maybe not, But Smith is sure growing in to a very good test player.
